No Story Too Small – Amy Johnson Crow’s challenge of 52 Ancestors this year, has been the inspiration to writing up my family history stories.
Jane GUTHRIE my 4x great grandmother, was baptized at Amble, Northumberland on December 26, 1785, the daughter of John.
In 1806 at Lesbury, Northumberland, she married George DAWSON.
The couple had nine children all born at Lesbury.
Andrew in 1806, Ann 1808, James 1810, Jane 1813, George 1815, Isabella in 1818, John 1820, John 1823 and Thomas 1825.
In both 1841 and 1851 the family is living at Amble, Warkworth, Northumberland.
Jane’s husband dies in 1853 and we find Jane DAWSON living in Liverpool in 1861 with her daughter Isabella and son in law Robert GEE.
I have not yet found the death of Jane DAWSON – was it in Liverpool, or Birkenhead as the GEE family was found there in 1871 – or did Jane go back to Northumberland to be with another of her children.
