My four times great grandmother Mary COXON was baptized August 10, 1777 at Gateshead, Durham

On May 14 1797 the marriage of John HALL and Mary COXON took place at Gateshead, Durham.

The couple had nine children:

1797 Thomas Hall at Washington, father a pitman

1799 Susannah Hall at Washington

1802 Mary Hall at Fatfield

1804 John Hall at Penshaw, Durham;

1807 William Hall at Penshaw

1809 Michael Hall at Penshaw,

1811 Elizabeth Hall Durham.

1811 Margaret Hall Durham.

1813 Sarah Hall at Penshaw,

Mary HALL died December 7, 1864 at Washington, Durham; age 90 years

On May 14 1797 the marriage of John HALL and Mary COXON took place at Gateshead, Durham.

The couple had nine children:

1804 John Hall at Penshaw, Durham;

1807 William Hall at Penshaw

John HALL died December 14, 1847 at Washington, Durham; age 73 years, Pitman, asthma and old age

My five times great grandmother Susannah BOLAM was baptized May 9, 1742 at Chester Le Street, Durham.

On December 3, 1763 the marriage of Thomas HALL and Susannah BOLAM took place at Chester Le Street, Durham.

Their son John HALL was baptized January 15, 1773 at Borrowstones, Scotland.

On December 3, 1763 the marriage of Thomas HALL and Susannah BOLAM took place at Chester Le Street, Durham.

Their son John HALL was baptized January 15, 1773 at Borrowstones, Scotland.

My three times great grandmother Mary Ann MORRIS was baptized April 22, 1810 at Elham, Kent, daughter of Edward MORRIS & Mary NOBLE.

On March 8, 1837 the marriage between Edward SPAIN and Mary Ann MORRIS took place at Elham, Kent.

On May 14, 1837 a son Edward SPAIN was baptized

On October 27, 1844 a son Morris Henry Spain was baptized

Edward SPAIN died on 3rd September 1879.

Mary Ann SPAIN died May 10, 1884.

My three times great grandfather Edward SPAINE was baptized May 8, 1806 at Wootton, Kent, son of Thomas SPAINE and Mary AMISS

On March 8, 1837 the marriage between Edward SPAIN and Mary Ann MORRIS took place at Elham, Kent.

On May 14, 1837 a son Edward SPAIN was baptized

On October 27, 1844 a son Morris Henry Spain was baptized

Edward SPAIN was an ag lab until his death on 3rd September 1879.

My six times great grandmother Joan GROUBE was baptized April 2, 1709 at Falmouth, Cornwall as the daughter of Thomas GROUBE and Joan JAMES.

On December 1, 1727 there is a marriage at Truro, Cornwall between Abraham ROBERTS & Joan GROUBE (Jone GRUB), by licence.

On January 1, 1728 the couple baptize a daughter Margery ROBERTS at Falmouth

On December 19, 1729 Martha ROBERTS is baptized

On May 23, 1732 a son Abraham ROBERTS is baptized.

On November 5 1734 daughter Thomasine ROBERTS

On February 27, 1737 daughter Joan ROBERTS is baptized.

Daughter Mary ROBERTS is baptized 23 April 1739

And daughter Johanna ROBERTS is baptized 15 November 1741

#45 Abraham ROBERTS

My six times great grandfather Abraham ROBERTS was baptized June 19, 1706 at Falmouth, Cornwall as the son of Abraham ROBERTS & Johanna STEELE.

 

On December 1, 1727 there is a marriage at Truro, Cornwall between Abraham ROBERTS & Joan GROUBE (Jone GRUB), by licence.

 

On January 1, 1728 the couple baptize a daughter Margery ROBERTS at Falmouth

On May 23, 1732 a son Abraham ROBERTS is baptized.

 

On November 5 1734 daughter Thomasine ROBERTS

 

On February 27, 1737 daughter Joan ROBERTS is baptized.

#44 Caroline WRIGHT

My three times great grandmother Caroline WRIGHT was born October 30, 1818 at Ipswich, Suffolk and baptized on the 13th December 1818 as the daughter of Charles WRIGHT and Sarah PATTERSON, father a sailor

On December 22, 1836 there is a marriage between Robert MATHAMS widower and Caroline WRIGHT spinster at St Clements, Ipswich.

On March 5, 1837 a daughter Mary Ann MATHAMS is baptised, father is a baker.

On October 29, 1838 a son Alfred MATHAMS is born.

On December 13, 1840 a daughter Elizabeth Ann MATHAMS is born.

The 1841 census shows Caroline MATHAM age 20, with Robert 45, Olive 15, Maryann 4, Alfred 2, Elizabeth 6 months and Rosella WRIGHT a FS.

Baby Elizabeth dies in 1841 and Caroline MATHAMS dies August 2, 1842 and is buried on the 5th of August – only 23 years old.

#43 Ellen MILLS

My two times great grandmother Ellen MILLS was baptized August 4, 1850 at Staplehurst, Kent, England as the daughter of William MILLS & Harriet BURR.

The 1851 census lists Ellen MILLS age 9 months b Chart Sutton, with father William 35, mother Harriet 35, brother Edwd 6, and brother George 3.

The 1861 census at Sutton Valence has Ellen MILLS age 10 b Chart Sutton, with father William 45, mother Harriet 45, brother George 14 and sister Mary 2.

On the 28th of September 1867 the marriage between William SHARP and Ellen MILLS took place at Chart Sutton, Kent, witnessed by George MILLS and Harriet MILLS.

On September 29, 1867 at Chart next Sutton, a daughter Ellen SHARP was born

On April 4, 1869 a son William SHARP was born at Chart Sutton.

On March 30 1871 a son Thomas SHARP was born.

The 1871 census at Chart next Sutton Valence, Kent; Ellen SHARP age 21 with husband William 24, daughter Ellen 3, son William 2 and unnamed son 3 days; living next door to her family.

On June 14, 1874 a son Henry SHARPE is born

Then on February 26, 1877 daughter Alice Annie SHARP is born at Aylesford, Kent.

In 1880 a son George SHARP is born but his christening is not found at St Peter’s Aylesford.

The 1881 census lists Ellen SHARP age 31, with husband William 33, children Ellen 13, William 12, Thomas 10, Henry 6, Alice A. 4, George 10 m.

In 1887 a son Albert SHARP is born but no christening is found at St Peter’s Aylesford.

On June 7 1889 son Frank SHARP is born at Aylesford

The 1891 census lists Ellen SHARP age 41 b Chart Sutton, Kent, with husband William 43, son Henry 16, daughter Alice A 14, son George 10 and son Frank 1.

The 1901 census at Aylesford shows Ellen SHARP age 51, William 53 and granddaughter Emily 8.

The 1911 census shows Ellen SHARP age 62 with husband William SHARP

William SHARP dies on July 5, 1919

Ellen SHARP age 83, widow of William SHARP, of 31 Belgrave Street, Eccles, dies 28 August 1933, the informant being son George SHARP
